Staying in Madison for the summer? Students who are NOT enrolled in summer classes must purchase a Student Summer Membership for $25 in order to use the Rec Sports facilities beginning May 20. This membership may be purchased at any of our facilities.

You’re Automatically a Member!
As an enrolled UW-Madison student (or Special Student), you automatically pay Segregated University Fees when you pay tuition. A portion of these fees covers your Recreational Sports Membership so there is no additional charge for you to use our facilities. All you need to do is present a valid UW-Madison ID card (Wiscard) upon entry.

-A wide variety of group exercise classes are available at the SERF and NAT with the purchase of a Group-X membership or day pass.
•Physique Personal Training and Health Coach
-A nationally certified personal fitness trainer helps you achieve your desired fitness and health results by formulating a customized plan to meet your goals.
- Adult group, private, and semi-private swimming lessons are offered at the SERF and NAT. Classes are taught by Red Cross-certified Water Safety Instructors.
-The Club Sports Program is comprised of various student organizations, each focused on a particular sport. Many clubs are organized for the primary purpose of competition, while other clubs are recreational or instructional in nature.
-Whether you're a former varsity athlete or a first-time participant, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved with our intramural program. Choose your teammates and level of competition for a variety of sports.
Forget Your Wiscard?
Members who have forgotten their Wiscard may gain entrance to any of our facilities by showing a valid photo ID and providing their Wiscard ID number. This is considered a courtesy pass and may be used six times per semester.
Purchase a Guest Pass
Guest passes may be purchased for non-members, including friends visiting from out of town, at RServices.
Confiscated ID Policy
Any fraudulent use of an ID will be rendered punishable by administrative sanctions. In order to ensure the safety of the facility and our members, any ID card used in a fraudulent manner will be immediately confiscated. To retrieve a confiscated ID, you must provide a valid photo ID and pay a $20 administration fee. Fees must be paid to the Recreational Sports programs office in the facility in which the violation occurred.
