Personal Trainer Exam Prep Course
The American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer Exam Prep course prepares you for a career as a personal trainer. The personal training profession is a great part or full-time career that is in demand. The course is held twice a year, in January and June. Students and non-students can register for this course. UW Madison students can be eligible for a scholarship entrance into the course, resulting with employment as a personal fitness trainer for Rec Sports. For student scholarship application click here. UHS Sports Medicine Clinic
UHS provides injury evaluation and self-care advice for students participating in recreational, intramural and club sports or workouts who incur minor injuries.
Students can drop in for a sports-related injury evaluation and, if needed, obtain a referral to see a UHS Sports Medicine physician. The service is primarily intended to help students deal with or answer questions about minor injuries such as sprains, muscle strains, tennis elbow, etc. No appointment is necessary, simply show up at 333 East Campus Mall (5th floor, Monday - Thursday 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.).
Athletic trainers are also available to evaluate student injuries at UHS on Wednesday afternoons, but appointments must be scheduled in advance. Sports medicine physicians will be on site and available to students by referral from a UHS clinician or athletic trainer.
