Physique Personal Training

Personal training is a one on one approach to overall health improvement. People of all ages, body types, and levels of fitness can benefit from the services of a personal fitness trainer. A personal fitness trainer helps you achieve your desired results by addressing your individual needs to formulate a plan of action designed to meet your goals - goals as modest as touching your toes again or as ambitious as preparing to run a marathon. Whether you want to lose weight, regain flexibility, develop speed, gain muscle mass or simply feel good again, personal training is an experience that will benefit you for years to come. Our personal trainers are nationally certified, and are dedicated to empowering you with the motivation and knowledge you need to fit and stay fit for life.

What is Symmetry?

A trainer or coach uses either a skin-fold caliper which measures 3 or 7 predetermined anatomical sites or uses a bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) machine to measure our percent body fat. Bioelectric impedance analysis is based on the principle that the resistance to an applied minor electric current is inversely related to the amount of fat-free mass within the body. Body composition refers to relative percentages of body weigh; usually expressed as percent of body fat compared to percent of lean body mass.

Tests resting metabolic rate which is the amount of calories your body burns at rest

The lifestyle coach will asses your health by taking baseline measurements such as resting heart rate, blood pressure, resting metabolic rate, body composition, weight and circumference measurements. Coaches will also gather lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise histories. The result of this assessment allows the coach to indentify areas of improvement and allows them to develop a behavior modification program to work on with you. The assessment is a prerequisite to receive the program and sessions.

A personal trainer will meet with you to assess your fitness level via baseline testing. Testing includes blood pressure, body composition, cardiovascular testing, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility testing. After gathering this information and setting goals with you, the trainer will create a comprehensive fitness program for you. The fitness assessment and program or the ultimate assessment is a prerequisite for wellness/training sessions.

This assessment is a combination of the fitness assessment and programming and the lifestyle assessment. It includes all of the above tsts, and allows you to work with a personal trainer and a lifestyle coach on multiple areas of your health and fitness.
